HI THERE,

The professional

I am a director and choreographer with a background as a professional performer of musical theatre. I have an MFA in Directing advised by Susan H. Schulman, and BFA in Musical Theatre, both from Penn State University. As a performer, I served as the dance captain for the national tours of American Idiot and Nice Work if You Can Get It, and worked regionally in Ever After (Papermill Playhouse, Beehive (The Rev), A Christmas Story (Gateway Playhouse), and more. My work as a dance captain, and in pre-production workshops while living in NYC, led me to my current career as a director and choreographer. Favorite titles include The Wild Party, Assassins, Pippin, and Bells Are Ringing.

The educator

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. My academic journey began as a graduate teaching assistant at Penn State, where a love for teaching in the higher education setting was instilled in me. It is a privilege to be a part of the journey between student and professional. As a scholar, I am partaking in professional development in intimacy choreography and direction, in service of developing a creative process that is inclusive and accessible.

The human

A Pennsylvania girl through and through, I am happiest when surrounded by mountains.  While performing on tour I developed a love for exploring the little corners of the world-the local coffee shops, foodie joints, and any brewery I passed (IPA’s only, please). This curiosity for new tastes has grown into a love of cooking, and a strong dislike for eating the same foods every day on repeat (just ask my husband). I am enthusiastic, I work hard, and I choose boxing over yoga every time.
